had lessons at library today.
saw this book by hayao mayazaki about the art of nausicaa of the valley of the wind.
since i liked studio ghibli films so much, i borrowed it.
i particularly like this drawing by him, so i sketched it out with my mechanical pencil.. (therefore shading has too thin lines)

its abit different. the hair is slightly diff.
and the hoodie.
but im no animation student so i dont have to be that detailed.
just wanted to capture that
feel.
but i think i didnt acheive it.
nausicaa looks like shes relaxing instead of the detached and faraway look.
been a long time since i last doodled, or sketched, or drew.
you can say i miss it.
but such inspirations cant be forced.
they have to come with the flow~
looking at the catbus figurine keychain thingy in ghibli film, Totoro jolene once gave me (gave all of us).
i think she doesnt know where it came from.
but its so coincidential she buys sth for us that i like alot.
i already lost the chain attached to catbus.
but thank goodness i didnt lose catbus.
now it sits privileged and underused (sounds like my haiku assignment sia!), right infront of my doggy handphone stand, given by tseching, if i dont remember wrong.
i love that gift too. :)
